Personal Guides

TreeTop Adventures trails are intentionally designed for self-discovery making personal guides unnecessary compared to more traditional ropes courses. While in the vast majority of situations personal guides will not be needed, we do have a limited number of personal guides for hire for the following purpose:

The most common use for a Guide is to provide supervision for children in a situation where the child’s guardian is unable to climb with the child. A Guide can climb with a child and provide access to trails that are rated “with adult” for the child’s age.  The Guardian must remain on the property at TreeTop Adventures – this is not a child “drop off service”, but rather a way to enable a child to climb a trail that requires adult supervision.

Since our trails are designed for “self-discovery,” personal guides are not intended as instructors, nor can they provide rescues. Rather personal guides provide some added “aerial” supervision.

What trails can be used with a guide?

Climbing in the park with a guide does not change what trails you are allowed to use. Please see the table below for more information on what courses are open to which age groups and what kind of supervision is required.

What is the cost of a guide?

Personal guides are available to experience the course with you for $40 for the last hour of your climb. Guides can climb with children in a 1:5 staff to children ratio. No more than 5 child guests will be assigned to a guide at a time.

Are reservations needed for a guide?

Reservations for personal guides are required. If you would like to hire a guide for you or your guests, please contact us at (781) 989-5800 or at least 7 days in advance. Guide reservations require payments in advance. Personal guides can be requested on-site, but the number of personal guides available is extremely limited.
